at least until the next patch before playing.

says that monsters are NOT using their special attacks as of the first game patch. They're only using melee attacks. This is a *serious* balance issue.

Re: Neverwinter Nights: you may want to wait

i just got it but the comp i'm at for the next few weeks isn't up to playing it (getting about 10fps)

However, initial impressions are that it could be VERY fun with a familiar group of people. even pick up games could be promising
56k client connect seems stable (I didn't notice any chat lag :)

inventory graphics are crappy i think, but that isn't a huge deal

well if you've been looking to get this one, i wouldn't wait unless you want the price to drop. they will patch it and support it i think. hopefully the mac release will happen soon.

looking forward to eventually playing with some of you folks. cya.

Was going to say the same thing...

Alternatively, you can simply avoid the 1.18 patch. The things it "fixed" were geared toward the DM client side of the game. If you're just interested in the single player campaign, patch-less may be the way to go. On the other hand, if you're knee-deep in chapter two, and don't want to start over (like me), you might just wait...

And a good omen for the Mac version, whenever it arrives.
