    Hail All,

Now that NiftyTelnet is valid to use in the US, I have a nice ssh clien for the Mac. Does anyone know of a secure FTP client that works with the Macintosh? The CS department here doesn't allow standard FTP, so it means I can't transfer files back and forth from my CS account without going via a third-party Linux box, which has gotten frustrating. So, if anyone knows of one, I'd appreciate it.

I just got a pair of spam newsletters from the Anarchy/Interarchy folks about version 5.0, which should be entering beta testing very soon. The blurb is:

As I mentioned last time 5.0 will have SSH. FTP Disks, mirroring and
the manual interface will all be able to be used over a secure SSH
connection. 5.0 will also be a FATCarbon build, which means there
will be one version that will run natively on all versions of Mac OS
    (including X).
The FTP disks thing is pretty neat sounding. It will allow you to use the Finder with FTP sites. The site will just look like a disk (ala iDisk). All finder functions will supposedly be supported. You can even use it offline (it caches things locally) and the next time the network is up, it does a sync.

I was a kangaroo-carrying member through 3.x, but was a little annoyed at the upgrade fee for 4.x and dropped them. Maybe I'll pick it back up again now.... hmmm....

I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the info.

    Re: SFTP on MacOS?

What about just using scp in NiftyTelnet?

    Wow

Didn't realize you could do that. That works great, thanks!

I knew NiftyTelnet could do SCP but I never bothered to stop and think if that it meant it did SFTP too.

Leave it to a Linux user to surprise us all! Nice work Cauldyth 8)
